Editorial Standards and Review Methodology

Our purpose

Everything About Robotics exists to help readers make informed decisions about robotics products, systems, programs, and services.

Evidence hierarchy

We prefer manufacturer product documentation, manuals, official software requirements, standards bodies, government sources, and original program documentation. Retailer listings may be used for current price or availability but are not treated as the primary authority for technical specifications.

Recommendations

“Best” is never universal. Recommendations are matched to a defined buyer, use case, budget, support environment, and set of decision criteria. We document important tradeoffs and identify circumstances in which a recommended option should be avoided.

Testing and research

We identify hands-on testing when it occurred. When no hands-on test occurred, the work is described as editorial research or a documented shortlist. We do not imply personal product experience that did not happen.

Prices and availability

Prices are snapshots or ranges checked on a stated date. Bundles, regional availability, promotions, licenses, shipping, accessories, and institutional pricing can change the true cost.

Commercial independence

Affiliate commissions, referral fees, free products, sponsorships, and other material relationships are disclosed. No commercial relationship guarantees favorable coverage.

Artificial intelligence

AI tools may assist with research organization, drafting, structured data, or illustrative imagery. Factual claims and recommendations remain subject to editorial review. AI-generated product-class imagery is labeled and is not presented as an exact manufacturer product.
