Use the ESP32 Thing as a compact platform for a connected sensor node or robot accessory. Its ESP32 processor, Wi-Fi and battery-charging circuitry support experiments that combine local measurements with network communication. A class can log data locally, send selected readings and compare how different reporting intervals affect responsiveness. The board provides a foundation for the software and electronics; a robot still needs appropriate motor interfaces, power design and application-specific fault handling.
Before you buy
Check the ESP32 software core, GPIO constraints and battery requirements. Network connectivity does not by itself provide dependable remote control or an emergency stop.
