Start with a familiar Arduino-style controller when a robot needs straightforward sensor inputs and motor-driver commands. This RedBoard uses the ATmega328 and the Uno bootloader, with a Mini-B USB programming connection and R3 shield layout. It suits lessons that connect analog readings to PWM outputs: learners can first log a sensor value, then write a response, then connect a separate motor driver. Keeping those stages separate makes wiring and software faults easier to find.

Before you buy

Provide a USB Mini-B cable and the required project hardware. Motors need a suitable driver and separate power planning; a GPIO pin is not a motor supply.
