Control two DC motors from an Arduino-format project with the Ardumoto shield. The L298 H-bridge and direction indicators make it useful for explaining how a software command becomes motor direction and drive strength. Learners can test each channel independently before trying differential steering. It is the standalone shield, appropriate when a project already has its motors and mechanics; it should not be confused with the Ardumoto kit that bundles additional motion hardware.
