The RedBoard Qwiic is an approachable bridge between breadboard lessons and plug-in I2C sensing. Its ATmega328 platform retains the Uno programming model while adding a Qwiic connector and revised USB and power circuitry. Use it to compare a directly wired analog sensor with a Qwiic device, then build a small robot state machine around the readings. This is the standalone controller, useful for extending an existing classroom kit rather than buying another complete set of parts.
Before you buy
Check the voltage-level jumper and peripheral requirements before wiring. Keep this standalone board distinct from the Inventor's Kit and the RedBoard Plus.
