Study outdoor robot localization with a kit built around the u-blox ZED-F9R. It combines GNSS measurements with inertial data and vehicle-motion inputs, making it useful for exploring what happens when satellite visibility deteriorates. A learning project can log a repeated route and compare the resulting tracks under different reception conditions. Treat positioning performance as an experiment that depends on installation, correction data and calibration, rather than a guaranteed navigation result.
Before you buy
The ZED-F9R operates as a rover and requires an appropriate correction source for RTK operation. Plan antenna placement, mounting and vehicle inputs before buying.
